CONSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY:

We must restore respect for the Constitution as the law of our land.  No civilization can survive if it allows its laws to be undermined.  The Constitution was written by men who understood the dangers of tyranny because they experienced it.  Unfortunately America is headed down the same path with narrow-minded court rulings, the passing of 'laws' that contradict the laws of God and nature, the usurping of authority by the Federal courts and the silencing of traditional values.  We must stand up now!  We must continue to support positive change which is in line with traditional values.  There is a good reason to stick with tradition, because it works.  And, I for one prefer to stick with what works.  Socialism and Communism do not treat citizens fairly and do not allow for a free enterprise system of prosperity, life, liberty and happiness which the Founding Fathers risked their lives to provide for us.

RESTORE STATES RIGHTS:

As the Declaration of Independence so clearly points out, we are the united States of America.  This means that individual states have the right to govern themselves without interference from other states or the Federal government.  It is not the right or jurisdiction of the Federal government to strike down states laws at a whim.  This is a problem that Congress has ignored in recent years and with catastrophic results.  Congress has the right to and should limit the role of the Federal courts to their Constitutional boundaries.  Failure to do so has resulted in numerous disastrous decisions and the usurpation of the Federal courts.  And, this has to stop now!

ELECTION OF FEDERAL AND STATE JUDGES:

One of the key ingredients to create a more responsible judicial system is to make judges more accountable to the electorate.  Judges are appointed on the principle basis of 'good behavior'.  However, it is very rare for a judge to actually be removed for bad behavior.  This can be corrected by the process of regular elections of said judges.  In this way all branches of government can be held accountable and we will not have a runaway court system such as we have seen in recent years.

REDUCE THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT:

By this I mean that the programs and beauracracy of the Federal government that are costing us such great indebtedness should be turned over to the states where these programs should have originated in the first place.  The 'New Deal' social programs of the thirty's should never have been implemented by the Federal government.  This is the responsibility of the states and it should be given over to the states.     This will greatly increase the ability of each individual state to control spending and adjust budgets accordingly.  And, this is only one example of many programs that should be systematically given to the states.  The end result being lower taxes for everyone.

TEA PARTY MEMBER:

I believe so strongly in the principles of the Constitution and the fact that they are being usurped and violated that I have joined the Tea Party movement and enthusiastically endorse their campaign.  WE CAN AND MUST MAKE POSITIVE CHANGES TO OUR CULTURAL LANDSCAPE NOW.  SOCIALISM IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OUR FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM AND MUST BE REJECTED OUTRIGHT!  FREE SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF RELIGION MUST NOT BE ABRIDGED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OR FEDERAL COURTS.  LET US NOT SEPARATE GOD FROM OUR PUBLIC DEBATES FOR THE WHIM OF A FEW RADICAL SOCIALISTS WHO DEMAND UN-CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGE!

POLITICAL EXTORTION

We are taxed on what we earn.  We are taxed on what we spend.  We are taxed on what we save.  We are taxed after we are dead!  Enough already!  As I see it, this is plain and simple extortion and it is time we throw out the incumbents who cannot add and balance the budget.  It is time to stop pretending we can spend our way out of every problem and situation that comes down the pike.  Out of control spending is what got us here in the first place.  The Federal government does not have the right or the responsibility to provide for the need of every American just because that American thinks the government owes it to them.  That is socialism and we are a free market economy.  A free market economy gives people the opportunity, indeed the privilege to earn an income virtually without limit.  Socialism has limits, a free market economy does not.  One thing a free market economy needs however is fiscal responsibility.

Personal fiscal responsibility means meeting our own needs and bills as they come along.  But, for a nation to be fiscally responsible means that some people will have to give up something.  That is just the way it is.  I think the Governor of Wisconsin has the right idea, we must cut spending.  Greed and selfishness cannot be king and queen when our economic system is on such shaky ground.  We cannot have a Governor of Maryland who makes money available only to the people or counties he happens to favor.  That is not fair, not legal and not just!  We have to stop playing politics.  And the best way to do that is to elect new officials who will break the bonds with big business and labor unions.  Labor unions have a purpose, but it is not to run the country by extortion.  This extortion has gone on for too long now and it must and can be stopped.  The way to do is to elect all new legislators who are not bound by greed and personal favors to do what business wants done and not what the people who elected them want done!

We need to elect leaders who will govern with integrity and honesty.  We need leaders who will make hard decisions, but right decisions.  The time to take action is now.  As a candidate and a Senator I pledge here and now that I will be honest.  I will strive to live with integrity and above reproach.  I will not make deals that favor a few in return for political or monetary favors.  I will be fair.  I will work to limit the federal government and even reduce the federal government so as to bring our financial house in order.  With your help and your vote, we can make the right changes!
