THE PRINCIPLES

The Principles of our nation are simple and clearly spelled out in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  We are a free and independent nation whose citizens have certain unalienable rights, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  These Principles are what the Founding Fathers lived for and risked their lives for.  They believed what England was doing was wrong and that they were not being treated fairly and equally, so they revolted.  They did it with a clear conscience and a firm faith in God.  However, we find ourselves in the 21st century faced with a mass of people who believe we should pursue a socialistic policy and revise our Constitution to fit the modern mindset.

These people want the Federal government to be the big provider and take care of those who can’t take care of themselves.  They want to create massive social programs like health care and expand other programs to meet the people’s needs.  The problem is that this is not the role of the Federal government.  It requires higher and higher taxes and irresponsible spending to accomplish all of these goals.  In the process the government is out of control trying to keep up with all of these expenses.

We, as free moral citizens have the right to control our own destiny, but the government is systematically taking that away with taxation and regulation.  None of these efforts are what the Founding Fathers intended.  In fact, it was exactly what they revolted against!  In the process the American dream is fast becoming a nightmare.  Wealth is being unfairly re-distributed by the government and rights are diminishing.  The principle of freedom is being lost.

   MY PLATFORM

This is why I believe serious and constructive change needs to begin now with the current Congress and with the subsequent two national elections.  Among the Principles that must be implemented are the following.  Reverse the unconstitutional oligarchy of the Supreme Court.  The Supreme Court is Constitutionally equal to the Congress and it is the job of Congress to pass laws, not the Supreme Court.  Restore the sovereign rights of the states.  Restore the guaranteed rights of The Bill of Rights, including the right to life of unborn babies as guaranteed in the Constitution and the right to free exercise of one’s chosen religion, including the right to Bible reading and prayer in public school.

Systematically reduce the un-constitutional behemoth of the Federal government by delegating those responsibilities to the states, thus reducing taxation and restoring responsibility to the states.  Pass the necessary amendments to require that all state and federal judges be elected instead of appointed, and require that they have term limits.  These Principles I set forth as necessary and compatible with the United States Constitution.
